Engel Handheld Electric Hot Knife Heat Cutter (Engel HSG-0)

The HSGM HSG-0 Hot Knife is a hand-operated heat cutting tool designed for cutting small quantities, ideal for brief periods of use. It is effective for cutting and sealing the edges of synthetic materials to prevent fraying and unraveling, such as synthetic fabric, fiber, cords, ropes, webbing, and belting. The blade heats up in approximately 6-8 seconds, reaching a temperature of approximately 1100 degrees Fahrenheit (600°C). The blade heat can be roughly controlled by depressing or releasing the trigger. A variety of different styles of HSGM blades are available for separate purchase. This unit is also offered in a 220-volt version. Manufactured in Germany.
